Maternal Mental Health

At The Journey Institute (TJI), our Maternal Mental Health programs are designed to support women through the emotional, social, and psychological challenges that can arise during and after pregnancy. We focus on prevention, early intervention and treatment to promote healthy outcomes for both mothers and their children.

Our Strong Beginnings and Mothers Rising programs offer:

  • Therapeutic Support: For mothers experiencing maternal depression, anxiety, and trauma.

  • Peer-Led Groups: A safe space to share experiences, foster community, and build emotional connections.

  • Parenting Programs: Guidance on managing stress, enhancing emotional safety, and strengthening the parent-child bond.

  • Family Support Services: Assistance with family conflicts and stressors that may impact maternal well-being.

If you or a loved one is struggling, please complete a referral form below to be connected to the program that best meets your needs. Our compassionate team provides a safe environment where mothers can explore their feelings, process concerns, and receive professional and peer support. You are not alone on this journey, let us help you build hope, resilience, and emotional wellness for you and your family.

Through maternal mental health screening, and peer-to-peer support, this program reaches both pregnant and postpartum mothers and promotes healthy moods, stress management, and bonding strategies with babies.
